Usability Testing
Instrument and device designers and developers, drug delivery engineers and hospital & health systems purchasers can contract with CMS to perform studies of user interfaces, acceptance, training or other aspects of product evaluation in the realistic environment at CMS. The facility is invaluable in assessing product designs in the setting of routine and crisis practice.
Aspects of FDA product validation may be accomplished in a highly effective manner in the controlled clinical environment of CMS.
Videoconferences can be arranged for remote viewing or broadcast to larger audiences.
Fees for usability testing will vary depending on; Use of CMS Facilities, Staffing and the need for specialized expertise, Data analyasis and report generation, IRB needs, and hours utilized per day(Premiums will be charged for weekend and off hour use)

Live Simulation Videoconferences
The Center for Medical Simulation offers live, interactive videoconferences of simulations of clinical situations that demonstrate teamwork and crisis management as well as the simulation experience. While not a substitute for actual training, these are a great way to expose a larger group to the principles, benefits and possibilities of simulation, while additionally reviewing models of strong teamwork.
Scenarios are customized to the audience’s interests and background. The session includes one CMS representative on-site, moderating the session and a clinical team of four or more at the CMS facility performing the simulation.
A typical program combines
1. A live simulation on a large screen with audience participation
2. Debriefing of the event depicted, and
3. A didactic presentation about simulation
Fee: $10,000 and up per Session
Consulting
Drawing on our years of experience, CMS would be happy to help your organization address specific challenges around simulation and setting up your own simulation program.
Fee: $2,250/person/day + expenses
Speaking
CMS staff and faculty are often invited to speak at conferences and other gatherings. Their passion, knowledge and experience are palpable and inspiring.
Fee: $2,250/person/day + expenses
Clinical Facility Photographic/Film Setting
The flexible 1300 sq. ft. clinical facility at CMS may be used as a film studio for education, marketing or creative purposes.
CMS has the space, equipment and expertise to outfit an operating room, intensive care unit, emergency department, and other clinical locations.
Fee: $1,875 - $4,250/day
