> IMS  launched a new Graduate Course in March 2009 that will help faculty educators develop curricula to train simulation faculty at their own institutions. The course meets monthly in a web-based distance learning format and culminates in a three-day capstone experience on site at the Center for Medical Simulation. Jenny Rudolph is the course leader and will be joined by Robert Simon, Dan Raemer, and other guest instructors.

> Dan Raemer delivered the Mary Burnell Lecture at the 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in Cairns in May, 2009.

> Jeff Cooper gave the keynote lecture on History and Future of Patient Safety in Anesthesia to the Association of University Anesthestists in April, 2009 in Galveston.

> Jeff Cooper has transitioned from his long time role as Director of Biomedical Engineering for the Partners Healthcare System to dedicate his main effort to healthcare simulation.
