Jordan Halasz – Technical Director
Mr. Halasz has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare. Prior to joining CMS in 1993, he was the Technical Manager for the Anesthesia Department at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He is currently the Director of Technology at CMS. Mr. Halasz is the primary instructor for the Institute for Medical Simulation's Technical Track portion of the Comprehensive Course. As co-director of the Technical Special Interest Group of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, he mentors newcomers to the field of simulation technology.
Anthony Dancel – Senior Simulation Specialist-Education Technologist
Mr. Dancel has more then 10 years of experience in pharmacy. He is a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician and served as the Lead Pharmacy Technician for Training and Compliance at Massachusetts General Hospital until joining CMS. Mr. Dancel also has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Lori Ataya – Simulation Specialist
Ms Ataya has an Associates degree in Arts and Sciences. She started her career as a Medical Specialist in the US Army. She also held the position of Chemistry Technical Assistant at Beverly Hospital. At the North Shore Medical Center, she served as Senior Anesthesia Technician, and as the Cardiac Surgery/Anesthesia Liaison, training the Anesthesia Technicians for the Cardiac Surgical Program.
Rhonda Young – Administrative Coordinator
Ms. Young joined CMS as Administrative Staff Assistant in 2001. She has a Bachelor of Applied Science from Emmanuel College in Boston and has more than 15 years of experience in healthcare. Prior to joining CMS, she was the Team Leader in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Paul Montgomery – Education Coordinator
Mr. Montgomery earned his PhD in physics from MIT, after which he studied pastoral counseling at divinity school. After an internship counseling the terminally ill, he began teaching about coping with death, dying, and loss. He spent the next 37 years in end-of-life care, first on the Geriatrics Team and as Director of Consultation and Education Services for the Cambridge-Somerville Mental Health Center, then as a certified grief counselor and Hospice Manager, and most recently as a member of the Mass General Hospital’s Palliative Care Service. Mr. Montgomery has taught and organized conferences throughout his healthcare career. He joined CMS in 2008.
